During the past four years, she obtained defence verdicts as a result of a three-month, alleged $78 million-dollar trial against the world's leading manufacturer of pacemakers; a four-week, alleged $20 million-dollar trial involving an implantable neurostimulation device; a four-week, alleged US$18 million-dollar trial involving three consolidated cases against the manufacturer of a continuous local anesthesia infusion drug pump; a three-week medical malpractice trial in which she represented OB/GYN clients; and a three-week medical malpractice trial for a hospital involving allegations of an overdose on a patient controlled analgesia (PCA) pump.
Lori has been featured in The National Law Journal's "Winning - Successful Strategies From Some of the Nation's Top Litigators,' a special report recognising 10 attorneys from across the U.S. She has been recognised by The National Law Journal as one of 'The 50 Most Influential Women Lawyers in America.' Lori is active in national organisations in her specialty, including the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Product Liability Advisory Council, the Defense Research Institute and the American Bar Association. She is also an editor for three national publications (Medical Malpractice Law and Strategy, Product Liability Law and Strategy and Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Law Bulletin) and has authored numerous articles in the areas of products liability, medical malpractice, medical device and pharmaceutical litigation. She received her BA, cum laude, in 1987 from Duke University and her JD, with distinction, in 1990 from Emory University School of Law.
