Biography: Banking

James E Clark is a partner in Sidley's Chicago office. His practice focuses on commercial law. He is on the faculty at the University of Chicago Law School where he teaches legal ethics and professional conduct. He is co-author of Legal Developments in Secured Financing. Mr Clark was a member of the faculty for financing leveraged buyouts and acquisitions held by the Practicing Law Institute. He was also a member of the board of contributors of The Bankruptcy Strategist. Mr Clark was chairman of the acquisition financing subcommittee of the commercial financial services committee of the American Bar Association business law section. He is a fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers and a member of the American Association.

Mr Clark received his AB from Brown University in 1970 and his JD from The University of Chicago Law School in 1976. He is admitted to practice in Illinois.
