Biography: Project Finance
Jim Christie is senior counsel to Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. He was the chairman of the firm from 2001 to 2008, and the firm's national managing partner from 1995 to 2001.Jim acts primarily for banks and financial institutions and, for a number of years, has acted as senior counsel to the CIBC Group of Companies on many of their largest transactions.
Jim has been recognised for many years in The Lexpert/American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada, The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers, Chambers Global: The World's Leading Lawyers for Business, PLC - Which Lawyer? Yearbook, and other publications, as one of the leading banking lawyers in Canada.
In addition to his practice, Jim has lectured and written on a number of topics in the financial services area, as well as law firm management and the changing environment in the legal profession.
