Biography: Mergers and Acquisitions
Jeffrey A Chapman maintains an active and diverse practice representing public and private corporations in mergers and acquisitions in a broad variety of industries. He also represents both issuers and underwriters in public and private securities transactions, including equity and debt offerings. Mr Chapman is a valued adviser on corporate matters, including sensitive board matters. His technical expertise and emphasis on client service have resulted in many long-term relationships that span his entire tenure at the firm.Mr Chapman currently serves as a member of the firm's management committee. He is the former managing partner of the Dallas office (1998-2005) and former chair of the firm's practice management committee (2002-2006).
Mr Chapman's extensive experience has earned him recognition in multiple publications including Chambers USA as one of America's leading business lawyers in corporate and mergers and acquisitions law, 2005 and 2006. Additionally, Mr Chapman was listed in The Best Lawyers in America as a leader in corporate law, 2001-2006.
Mr Chapman obtained his BBA with highest distinction from the University of Iowa in 1979 and his JD cum laude from Harvard University in 1983.
