Ana has successfully represented associations in disputes before the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) of the World Trade Organization (WTO), and under her leadership VA became the first Brazilian law firm to assist the Brazilian government in a WTO dispute.
Recently, she has been nominated one of the world's top 25 pre-eminent lawyers, representing the Brazilian jurisdiction, in the area of international trade.
She has a law degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro Law School and an LLM at Georgetown University Law Center. Prior to her arrival at VA, Ana worked as a trade consultant at a prestigious law firm in Washington, DC.
She has written many trade-related articles, and is an active member of the following institutions: American Chamber of Commerce - São Paulo, Brazilian Bar Association, British Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Brazil, Deutsch-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, international law committee of São Paulo's chapter, International Bar Association, and World Service Group.
