Biography: Insolvency & Restructuring

Dr Eberhard Braun, the senior partner of Schultze & Braun, is attorney and CPA and acts since 1975 as a court-appointed insolvency practitioner as well as advising in corporate recovery situations. He has handled numerous significant insolvency proceedings - among these the Flowtex Group, Winterling AG and Fairchild Dornier - including insolvency proceedings in the USA. Besides his membership of INSOL (president of INSOL Europe 2003-2004), he also works with the German Lawyers' Association, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the International Bar Association, the American Law Institute (as international adviser for German insolvency law), the American College of Bankruptcy, the International Insolvency Institute, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Association of Insolvency Accountants. He is a frequent speaker at bankruptcy law conferences and has published numerous articles and books.
