A partner in the Hong Kong office of Blank Rome LLP, Nigel J Binnersley represents clients in the areas of admiralty law, general commercial law, commercial litigation, insurance (marine and non-marine), arbitration, and ship finance.

Mr Binnersley assists clients in navigating the complexities of their business in areas such as litigation - High Court and arbitration/mediation in Hong Kong, London, China and Asian countries generally; general commercial advice - joint ventures, setting up business in Hong Kong and China, and shareholders' agreements; employment advice; personal injury defence and claims work; ship sale/purchase and financing - new buildings and second-hand vessels; charterparty disputes and cargo defense/claims; collision/pollution and wreck removal matters for owners and charterers; acting for and on behalf of port terminal operators.

Mr Binnersley is a member of the Hong Kong Law Society, Hong Kong Maritime Law Association, Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales, and the Solicitors' Disciplinary Tribunal Panel. He is also the chairman of the Appeal Tribunal Panel (Buildings) under the Buildings Ordinance. In addition, Mr Binnersley lectures at the City University of Hong Kong on ship finance and ship management.

Mr Binnersley obtained his Bachelor of Laws from University of Wales. He is licensed to practise in England and Wales and Hong Kong.
