Robson Goulart Barreto was Born in Rio das Flores, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 16, 1962. He studied at the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro Law School (LLB, 1984).He is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association (chapters of the States Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul and Ceará); American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), Legislation Committee, member (1990 to 1996), chairman (1997 to 1998; 2003 to 2005) and legal counsellor (2005-2006; 2007-2008); American Bar Association, Brazilian Law subcommittee, vice chairman (1992 to 1993) and chairman (1994 to 1995); ITechLaw (Computer Law Association - since 1996); Brazilian Association of Informatics Law and Telecommunications - ABDI (since 1992 ; director 2003 to 2005 and Fiscal Council Member 2007 - 2008); member and director of the Center of Studies for Law Firms.
Mr Barreto's areas of practice are business law, communications and media, computers and software, telecommunications, finance, investments and mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
His languages are Portuguese and English.
