Rod Attride-Stirling JP is the senior partner of Attride-Stirling & Woloniecki. He specialises in complex civil litigation, corporate and commercial arbitration, and insurance and reinsurance. His experience includes: litigating and arbitrating controversial claims, including claims involving reinsurance and captive insurance companies, their parents, retrocessionaires, managers, and brokers; litigating substantial telecom company disputes, including disputes arising in transnational insolvency proceedings; litigating and arbitrating general commercial disputes, including banking and finance, oil and gas disputes, shareholder disputes, general purchase and sale agreement disputes and advising in relation to policy wording for insurance and reinsurance companies.

Mr Attride-Stirling is admitted as a barrister & attorney, Bermuda (UK) (1992); justice of the peace; and notary public and commissioner of oaths, Bermuda. He is a president of the Bermuda Bar Council, former chairman of the Investment Business Act Review Committee and former chairman of the Humans Rights Commission. He is the chairman of the Mental Health Review Tribunal and a member of the International Bar Association, ARIAS (US) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Mr Attride-Stirling received his Associates Degree from the University of Maryland (1987), his LLB Hons from the University of Buckingham (1989) and took his UK Solicitors Finals at Chester College of Law (1991).

Mr Attride-Stirling is the author of numerous publications, including: the 'Bermuda' chapter of International Insurance Law and Regulation. He is a frequent speaker at international reinsurance and arbitration conferences.

Mr Attride-Stirling is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of French.
