Biography: Regulatory Communications
Almudena Arpón de Mendívil began her career in 1987 at the firm's office in Brussels. A partner of the firm since 1994, she is responsible for the TMT practice in Madrid.She has been a a member of council of the legal practice division of the IBA since 2004, and before that, chair of the communications committee of the IBA (from 2002 to 2004).
She is an independent arbitrator at the Spanish Court of Arbitration.
Almudena works extensively in the electronic and audiovisual sectors from a transactional and competition perspective.
She is the author of individual and collective works, including International Joint Ventures in Spain (1992 and 1997); Comments on the General Telecommunications Law (1999); Regulation and Competition in Telecommunications (2003, co-author), Mergers and Acquisitions (2004, co-author), Guide to European Company Laws (2007 co-author) and Experiences Drawn from Regulation at the European Union and Challenges for the Future (CRT, 2007).
