Biography: Commercial Litigation

Angelo Anglani is a partner of the law firm Ughi e Nunziante, practising as a lawyer in the areas of commercial disputes resolution (litigation, national and international arbitration, ADR), commercial contracts, bankruptcy, intellectual property, competition law, and product liability. He leads the dispute resolution department of the firm.

He is particularly experienced in handling cross-border litigation; he regularly assists various foreign clients (including important foreign governmental institutions) in Italian litigation and rogatory proceedings, and advises clients on Italian law in litigation pending abroad. He is well experienced in securities litigation, litigation for clients in the telecommunications, unfair competition and IP spheres, as well as in product liability cases. He is also active in the area of national and international arbitration, whether under the rules of the most accredited institutions or under ad hoc rules, and in the context of court challenges of arbitration awards.

He is admitted to the Supreme Court. He attended the seminar on American law of Columbia University (Leyden, 1994), is a member of the International Bar Association (country chair for Italy in the litigation committee and member of the arbitration committee and of the mediation committee), a member of AIA - Associazione Italiana Arbitrato, a charter member of ArbIt - the Italian Forum on Arbitration and ADR, a member of the Chinese European Legal Association supporting the Chinese European Arbitration Centre - CEAC, and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). On September 2008 he became a member of the first chamber of CEAC Appointing Authority. He is past-chairman and a member of Euroadvocaten.

A regular speaker at conferences and seminars, he is author of various publications and articles in the field of arbitration and litigation.
