Hadef & Partners
Hadef & Partners was founded in 1980 and is one of the oldest local firms in the UAE, and with seven entries in five chapters it proves itself to be one of most highly respected.
Sadiq Jafar is managing partner of the firm’s Dubai office and is “very well known” for his M&A work, which has seen him handle major transactions in the energy, infrastructure and contracting sectors, and places him prominently in this chapter. Jafar is also well regarded in the banking section, where head of the firm’s banking and finance department Alan Rodgers joins him.
Anthony Edwards leads the firm’s construction and engineering department, and handles cases for government entities and residential developers, earning him a position in the construction section. The head of the firm’s commercial and real estate department, the “excellent” Michael Lunjevich, places well within the real estate chapter.
Jonathan Brown is head of international litigation and arbitration within the firm’s dispute resolution practice and represents the firm in the shipping and maritime chapter, where he is joined by the “very well established” Richard Briggs, whose practice encompasses trade, transportation and insurance law.
