In Uzbekistan, Ravshan Rakhmanov has significant experience in corporate law and M&A particularly in the telecommunications industry. Managing partner of the Tashkent office Zafar Malikov is considered “excellent” in corporate and M&A matters involving investment entities. He also features in the corporate tax chapter with Almat Daumov who combines a specialist practice in tax with commercial litigation advice for companies based in Kazakhstan.
Rashid Gaissin is “renowned” for his M&A work involving natural resources companies. He is also the managing partner of the Kazakh office and features in three other sections. He is head of the banking and finance department. He has been involved in a number of high profile banking deals including the several of the largest IPOs in Kazakhstan with the “impressive” Sofia Shakhraziyeva. He also appears in the mining chapter for his “exceptional” knowledge and is “worthy of inclusion” in the oil and gas section.
Joining Gaissin in the latter chapter is senior partner Tlek Baigabulov. He advises and represents clients in corporate and commercial issues for natural resources companies as does Umid Aripdjanov, the head of the commercial law group. Aripdjanov provides project finance advice for clients in the oil and gas, telecommunications and automobile industries.
Tolesh Kaudyrov enjoys a listing in the intellectual property chapter. He is considered a “senior statesmen” and has considerable knowledge and expertise in the field of patents.
