Country Awards 2012
We are pleased to reveal the 2012 Country Awards identifying the leading law firms in 60 jurisdictions. In judging these awards we have studied the nominations made by thousands of clients and fellow professionals. The winning firms achieved the largest number selected for inclusion in their country overall: the practitioners are pre-eminent in their practice areas and their collective achievements allow their firms to stand out as national leaders.
This year marks the seventh consecutive time many of the firms in our research have received the award, most notably Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co in India, an internationally renowned full-service outfit, and Allen & Gledhill LLP in Singapore, a reflection on its 100-year strong presence in the market. Contrast this to 13 firms which take the award for the first time. One first time winner is King & Wood Mallesons, which scoops the Australia and China award for the first time - building on the legacy firms’ previous success as multiple national award winners and the combined firm’s size, ambition and reputation for excellent work.
