Skadden hires leading tax practitioner in Frankfurt
Corporate tax specialist Johannes Frey has joined the Frankfurt office of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP.
He was previously with Shearman & Sterling LLP where he led the German tax practice.
Frey is highly experienced in all types of corporate tax matters, including acquisitions, spin-offs, joint ventures, restructurings and transactions involving cross-border tax planning.
He has advised several major corporations such as Omnicare Pharmacy and NOVA Chemicals and most recently counselled the Dow Chemical Company on a US$19 billion joint venture with a subsidiary of the Kuwait Petroleum Company.
Partner-in-charge for Skadden’s European region, Bruce Buck said, “Johannes is very well-connected in the marketplace, and his broad skill-set will significantly strengthen our existing client offerings in Germany.”
