Kent Rowey joins A&O in New York
Allen & Overy LLP has welcomed finance expert Kent Rowey as a partner in its New York office.
Rowey joins from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP where he headed the energy and infrastructure department for the Americas.
With a client base in throughout the continent, Rowey has been heavily involved in the development of private finance for the transportation infrastructure sector in North America. He has also played a leading role in the financial closing of more than 75 infrastructure and natural resources transactions worldwide.
Commenting on Rowey’s appointment US, managing partner Kevin O’Shea says that “opportunities like this don’t come around very often.”
“The combination of our strategic focus on domestic energy and infrastructure and Kent’s reputation in this area makes for a very compelling proposition. The prospects for our energy and infrastructure practice are incredibly exciting.”
Head of projects for the Americas, Robert Kartheiser added that Rowey’s arrival will “add significant strength” to its department. “We are delighted to have Kent join our team,” he concludes.
