Baker Botts launches in Brussels with top competition expert
Baker Botts LLP has set up its first Brussels office with the appointment of leading competition expert Catriona Hatton as partner in charge.

Joining her is competition lawyer Paul Lugard.
Previously a managing partner at Hogan Lovells in the Belgian capital, Hatton has extensive experience in merger control matters -focusing on EU regulations and coordinating global merger filings.
She is also frequently involved in antitrust audits and the design and implementation of compliance programs. She has represented clients in competition proceedings in a number of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, mining, media and entertainment, automotive and energy.
“Adding Brussels reinforces a strategic decision we made last year to expand our antitrust practice internationally,” said Baker Botts managing partner Andrew Baker. “Catriona and Paul bring to the firm decades of experience working at the highest levels of European competition law and policy.”
