Criminal defence family litigation firm launches in New York and DC
Business crime defence lawyer Gregory Morvillo has set up Morvillo LLP – a boutique law firm with offices in New York and Washington, DC, along with his brother Scott and uncle Richard Morvillo.
The three will be joined by a counsel and several associates.
The family named boutique provides specialist services in SEC and regulatory defence, white collar criminal cases, FCPA matters and securities litigation.
Based in the New York office, Gregory Morvillo has represented clients in federal and state court actions and in government investigations. He has counselled in criminal law cases, regulatory and corporate governance issues. He has also participated in criminal and SEC trials including serving as a key member of Martha Stewart’s criminal defence team.
Morvillo was previously a counsel at Morvillo Abramowitz Grand Iason Anello & Bohrer, PC where he worked along side his father Robert Morvillo for nine years before he passed away in 2011. Robert Morvillo was listed in The International Who’s Who of Business Crime Defence lawyers.
“Working with our father was a once in a life time opportunity, and now that we are opening Morvillo LLP with our uncle, we get to have that once in a lifetime opportunity twice,” said Greg and his brother Scott.
“We are going to continue the Morvillo tradition of cultivating a fun working environment while working hard together to give each of our clients the best possible defence,” added Richard Morvillo.
Gregory Morvillo is also listed in The International Who’s Who of Business Crime Defence Lawyers.
