Dechert LLP opens office in Almaty with team of 11 from Chadbourne & Parke
Dechert LLP has established a new office in Almaty, Kazakhstan, with leading corporate lawyers Kenneth Mack, Victor Mokrousov, Sergei Vataev and eight associates who were all formerly with Chadbourne & Parke LLP.
The team have previously advised major international corporations including ExxonMobil, Shell, China National Petroleum Corporation and Conoco Phillips on various transactional, regulatory and litigation matters.
Kenneth Mack focuses his practice on deals within the energy and natural resources, telecoms, capital markets and bank and project financing sectors, mainly throughout Central Asia and Russia. He also acts as counsel to multinational companies on a variety of investment disputes. He is listed in the Oil and Gas, Mining and Project finance chapters of Who’s Who Legal: CIS.
Victor Mokrousov, also listed in the Oil and Gas and Mining chapters of Who’s Who Legal: CIS, advises clients across corporate, finance and regulatory matters within the energy and mining sectors. His previous experience also includes acting for sellers and buyers in cross-border transactions and acting for multilateral lenders, commercial banks and private equity funds on debt and equity financings.
Sergei Vataev focuses his practice on commercial, regulatory and international arbitration disputes, as well as corporate and project finance matters mainly within the energy and mining sectors. Vataev features in Arbitration and Litigation chapters of Who’s Who Legal: CIS.
