Firm merger creates new legal powerhouse in Switzerland
Swiss-based firms Meyerlustenberger and Lachenal & Le Fort have merged creating Meyerlustenberger Lachenal, an 85 lawyer firm with offices in Zurich, Geneva, Zug, Lausanne and Brussels.
The firm is one of the largest in Switzerland, offering a comprehensive range of services including M&A, private equity, capital markets, competition law and real estate.
Meyerlustenberger Lachenal is managed by an executive board of four; two from each previous firm.
“Clients want our lawyers to be specialized and to have a profound understanding of their business and the legal issues related to it,” said Zurich-based partner Thomas Lustenberger. “We are convinced that our specialized teams in Zurich and Geneva will be an attractive proposition for demanding clients.”
The Brussels office of Meyerlustenberger Lachenal focuses primarily on supporting clients with their needs as related to EU regulations. It also provides them with an access to European institutions such as the Court of Justice.
Who’s Who Legal recognises Alain Le Fort from the firm as a leader in The International Who’s Who of Real Estate Lawyers and Michael Ritscher as a leader in The International Who’s Who of Patent Lawyers and The International Who’s Who of Trademark Lawyers.
