Blake Dawson boosts corporate practice with double hire in Sydney
Blake Dawson has expanded its presence in Sydney with the hire of leading M&A lawyers Garry Besson and Gary Lawler further strengthening its growing corporate practice.

Both arrive from Gilbert + Tobin.
Recognised as a leader in his field, Besson has advised on numerous M&A transactions including acting for major international companies and investment banks. His previous clients include Arrow Energy and Shell Energy Holdings Australia.
Lawler, who is the former joint head of Gilbert + Tobin’s mergers and acquisitions group, specialises in public company takeovers and takeover defences, corporate reconstructions and amalgamations, and acquisition and divestment transactions.
The partners are the ninth and tenth hires in the Blake Dawson corporate team in the past 12 months.
