McDougall returns to White & Case in Paris
White & Case LLP has welcomed the return of arbitration expert Andrew de Lotbinière McDougall after three years of working at his family firm Perley-Robertson Hill & McDougall LLP/srl in Ottawa, Canada.
He will continue to act as special counsel at Perley-Robertson Hill & McDougall.
Based in Paris, McDougall will work with White & Case’s global international arbitration team handling cross-border disputes relating to joint ventures, oil and gas, construction, M&A, intellectual property, telecommunications, defence, power, mining and other natural resources.
Before re-joining White & Case in 2012, McDougall worked at the firm from 2000 to 2008.
Paul Friedland, head of White & Case’s global international arbitration practice, said, “Andrew is a great lawyer and a great guy. He excels both at hearings and in lead-up. Our practice is universally delighted that he’s back with us.”
McDougall describes his time in Canada as “three wonderful and fulfilling years” and says that he and his family decided to move back to France for personal reasons.
McDougall is listed in The International Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitration.
