Baker Botts hires arbitration specialist in Moscow
Dominic Pellew has joined the international arbitration and dispute resolution group at Baker Botts LLP in Moscow.
He joins from Hogan Lovells where he led the dispute resolution practice.
Pellew has acted in disputes relating to joint ventures, construction and engineering, bank lending and technology licensing. He has also acted as arbitrator.
His representations include acting for Renaissance Group in London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) proceedings and representing Eco Telecom (part of the Alfa Group) in an ad hoc arbitration in Geneva under United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) rules.
“Dominic’s extensive arbitration experience adds depth to the service we provide our clients in this rapidly expanding practice area around the world,” says Baker Botts’ managing partner, Walt Smith.
Commenting on Pellew’s move, Michael Davison, co-head of arbitration at Hogan Lovells in London, says: “We of course wish Dominic well at his new firm. Our domestic litigation capability in the Moscow office remains the same following his departure. Whether we replace Dominic in Moscow is something we will consider in the light of client needs.”
Pellew is featured in The International Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitration Lawyers.
