Mexico: Corporate Immigration
These are times of plenty for Mexican immigration lawyers – a new immigration law passed in May has brought about an increase in advisory work and multinational companies have continued their expansion into the Mexican market. We identify five lawyers as leaders in this developing sector.
Aguilar Noble Salgado y Asociados is once again the only firm to have earned two inclusions in our list, with both its founding partners highly nominated. Its boutique status, in the words of one source, “translates into a great service”. The “brilliant” Juan Carlos Aguilar Noble advises corporations on a range of immigration matters, from visas to nationalisation procedures. He was lauded by one source for making his corporation’s transfer “totally hassle free”. Rodrigo Salgado Moreno is “an exceptional lawyer” and has a broad experience in strategic immigration planning for large multinational companies.
Enrique Arellano is the founder and senior partner of EnriqueArellano Rincón Abogados SC and has over 30 years’ experience in the corporate immigration sector. He is a prolific scholar on immigration issues as well as having a “first class” practice.
Goodrich Riquelme y Asociados fields Edgar Mayorga Compean, whose work encompasses naturalisation, citizenship, consular, investor and refugee law. He was praised to researchers as “an excellent strategist and a very smart lawyer”.
Federico Vergara of Vergara y Asociados SC has a “vast knowledge” of the area and is considered by peers to have “an outstanding immigration practice”.
