Five leading lawyers are listed in Russia. At Sokolov Maslov & Partners, Anna Arkhipova specialises in marine insurance, shipbuilding and ship registration, and is seen as a “star” in the field. Mikhail Sokolov is a “serious player” and previously served as deputy head of legal department of the ministry of transport of the Russian Federation. From Jurinflot International Law Offices both Vadim Ermolaev and Alexander Mednikov are noted for their work within the sector. Based in St Petersburg, Andrey Suprunenko is the director of Remedy Law Firm and is seen as providing “first class” counsel.
In Ukraine, the “excellent” Alexander Kifak is the chairman of Ank Law Firm and his recent clients include InterCoastal Shipowners P&I and Martrade Shipping and Transport.
