The firm’s corporate department is “second to none” and fields representatives in the chapters of corporate governance, corporate tax and mergers and acquisitions. Henrique Silva Gordo Lang, a “great talent”, features in both the capital markets and corporate governance chapters and is praised for his “astute mind”. Fernando Alves Meira features prominently in our corporate governance research and sources commented on his “wealth of expertise”. Completing the trio of names in the corporate governance chapter is Carlos Alberto Moreira Lima: a “first-rate” lawyer. In the M&A chapter, Alexandre Bertoldi stands out for his “significant experience” acting in high profile deals, including the Lan-Tam airline merger. Bertoldi is also recognised in the private funds chapter where he is hailed as a “leading light”. Featuring across both the commercial arbitration and commercial litigation chapters, Gilberto Giusti has a “very active” practice and receives “international acclaim”. Renato Stephan Grion “stands out” for his arbitration practice while Celso Cintra Mori, head of the litigation department, is a dispute resolution “expert” and one of the finest litigators in the country. Sérgio Pinheiro Marçal features in the product liability chapter and is “very highly regarded” by sourcess.
