Firm of the Year 2011
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has been named Global Law Firm of the Year 2011 in the Who's Who Legal Awards.
This marks the fifth occasion that the firm has gained this recognition since the awards began in 2005
The winners are announced in The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers 2011, a compendium edition of all the individual Who's Who Legal publications which is released in July and identifies the leading practitioners across 31 areas of law and over 100 countries.
The awards are based on a number of factors, including the feedback received in the ongoing research process, past performance in the research and the overall aggregate number of weighted votes cast in their favour.
Who's Who Legal used the thousands of nominations it has received from clients and private practice professionals to pick out Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, which sees its lawyers listed 211 times across 14 countries in 27 chapters of the publication - more than any other firm in our research worldwide.
Freshfields won further awards as the leading firm in the areas of Commercial Arbitration and Competition, and was also recognised as the leading firm in England. Frank Montag was selected once again a as the leading lawyer for Competition work worldwide.
