Husch Blackwell Sanders LLP and Welsh & Katz announce plans to merge

Husch Blackwell Sanders LLP has announced its plans to merge with Chicago-based intellectual property specialists Welsh & Katz.
The proposed merger would double the size of Husch Blackwell Sanders's intellectual property practice group with the addition of 45 attorneys, including Elliott Bankendorf, Julia Katz and Sidney Katz, who all appear in the Who's Who Legal:Illinois - Trademarks 2008 book. The merger will help to expand the firm's position in the Chicago marketplace. The new firm will be called Husch Blackwell Sanders Welsh & Katz.
