The Oneida tribe appoints new general counsel

The Oneida Indian Nation has named David Garber as its new general counsel.

The former partner at MacKenzie Hughes LLP will provide the tribe with legal advice and will be its representative in all aspects of business, government, litigation and legislative matters. He will also direct the nation's legal department.
The Oneida Indian Nation currently owns a number of businesses and tribal land. Approximately half of its 1,000 enrolled members reside in Central New York.
